*sigh somebody resurrected this thread again.

One more time, brainless PvE grinding should not be rewarded. Giving Zrank an emote was idiotic. Only the champion title deserves an emote.

Totally agree....In fact on my necro. i have 20 maxed titles and did it in under a year. emotes for xxx amount of maxed titles is not necessary.
If your going to go this route (emotes for titles) then it shouldn't start till 15 maxed. After all, at 10, you get that giant bird if you want it in your HoM. Personally I think that's more then enough for reaching 10 maxed titles. Im not an emote fan, couldnt care less about them to be honest...but there are those out there that think they are the greatest things on earth, and for those folks, then i say sure, emotes...but only if started at 15 maxed titles, because 5 is to easy to get and 10 you get the bird.

They already have a reward for r2 Kobd- the rainbow pheonix, maybe another reward at rank4 and a final emote at rank5/6. Not many have 30 titles. I'm up to 28 now and think an emote would be cool, its ace when they add more things to the game, even if they don't impliment it in this one they could atleast do it in GW2. Since the hall of monuments is apparently keeping achievements earned and transfering them over to the second game getting r6kobd for example could merit an emote in GW2. It would be cool, I would prefer to be rewarded in the future when we are given a new game to play, I love all the poinltess things in the game so far, mini pets, titles etc keep me amused and interested (and goldless hehe)

I sign for GW1 and 2 :P

Actually, yes. Yes I would. I hate the phoenix, it's so f-ing ugly... That's the reason I stopped doing HA. I love my tigers, and I really like the new dragon emote, but there's no way I could stand having a phoenix. God, it's ugly...

Basically, if I went for r12-14 it would only be for the title (or for r15), cause I'd never emote, cause I hate the phoenix.

But in other news....

GWAMM is a bitch and should have an emote. I don't know that KoaBD and the other lower ones should though. But I definitely wouldn't mind seeing the max one having an emote.

They can do Champion and Gladiator while they're at it. heh

Why does this even have to turn into a PvE vs PvP debate? oO
People whine about it on any thread that has anything remotely to do with just one facet of gameplay...

how about no titles have emotes? then there would be no arguing or bickering. people that say gwamm was such a terrible grindfest thats so hard, you knew there was no emote for it, why did you keep going? you got your title that you wanted, now deal with it. anet gave zaishen and emote just to rub it in your face. it made a joke of emotes so maybe people would realize it doesnt mean anything. no matter what anet does someones gonna whine and cry, so why should they even try? just be happy you have that little bunch of words under your name.

This slightly edited.

Hero=At least *least so PvP'ers don't want to rip my head off -points at Evil Neato aka captain underpants-* remove bambi and phoenix, move tiger to be where phoenix is, and wolf to where tiger is.

Zaishen=Remove all but r10+

Kurzick=Give r10+/r12 Emote of Saint Viktor /Kurzick or /Krank

Luxon=Give r10+/r12 Emote of Archemorus /Luxon or /Lrank

GWAMM=Give r4+/r6 Emote of you're profession's god (Elementalist and Dervish would be random) - alternative add r7 "The Legend of <Character Name>" (Should be doable) and have the emote for that. /Legend

Or, just remove all emotes. That is also good. There is no longer a need for them (they were put in prior to titles for easy grouping in Tombs).

Kurzick and Luxon are both PvE and PvP, fair trade there. Zaishen is PvP but is bought by PvE, making it both, fair trade there. Hero is PvP only, GWAMM is basically PvP only.

I do have an alternative idea of how Zaishen should have been, but Linsey said nothing would be done like that anyways so pointless to post.

What this person is suggesting leaves room for emotes that are equal to Bambi emotes in over usage and not so important. Plus and although it's a shame that title and its predecessors are not highly regarded the chosen emotes involving the four gods can be used for something else way better. Something that's truly epic.

Sorry, but the idea is too shady for me. /not signed.

But perhaps just an emote for rank 6 kobd. An emote per rank might be overkill.

Emotes should be kept in PvP.
Guild Wars was designed as a PvP game. PvE was originally geared towards building PvP knowledge, HA preparation in particular. Think about Prophecies for a little while. By the time you hit the crystal desert, via questing and missioning, players were between level 15 and level 17, typically. Lets take a look at the desert missions:
Dunes of Despair: Help the Ghostly Hero reclaim his throne in the Temple of Ascension. Zomg. Altar cap (Broken Tower, which is out of rotation, and King of the Hill in Halls itself. Also, the addition of the AB style maps follows the altar cap style)
Thirsty River: Defeat 6 teams of Forgotten to prove yourself worthy of ascension. Kill enemy priests to prevent resurrection. Exact format of any of the priest maps (Fetid River, Burial Mounds, Golden Gates)
Elona Reach: Gather the three Vision Crystals and bring them to the Ghostly Hero to focus the sight of the Gods of Tyria on you. Relic running. ofun. (Unholy Temples, Halls itself)
After you beat these you were then directed to Ascension, where you killed yourself. Victory lead to being directed to Tomb of Primeval Kings, where Hero's Ascent originally took place. And neatly enough you were level 20. beating 1 more mission would get you to droks/max armor. yay pvp. Emotes were awarded for reward in pvp. yay pvp again.

Special emotes were intended for pvp and should stay with pvp (/zrank it total bs though) so /notsigned

funny enough all your yay pvp are from doing pve ... hahah

btw
/signed and like I say before, I think making GWAMM have the /walk is better then having an emote, something that distinguished them from the rest of the crowd, IE: characters floats while in town, Characters leaving flowery trails as they walk, something like when we use [[troll unguent]

whats the difference between wearing kobd title track and an emote for it? both would show the same thing, and no one would care except the kid spamming the emote.

even though i already have a few rather high emotes already, i'd still say, remove them all from the game.
